Janice Lorraine Villard Nicoletto went peacefully home to our heavenly father’s loving embrace on September 27, 2024 at her home in Craig, CO, after a lengthy battle with cancer surrounded by loved ones. Janice’s childhood was spent in Craig, CO, loving every moment on the family ranch at the base of Black Mountain and other areas of Moffat County. Graduating from Moffat County High School in 1977 she married Paul Lyons in Craig, CO and later divorced. She met and married her best friend and soulmate James “Jim” Nicoletto. Janice considered motherhood a blessing and has been blessed with multiple beautiful children.
Survivors include her husband Jim Nicoletto, Dale Lyons and Jimmy Bryan, Jamie Howell and Matt Howell, Kyle & Kacey Lyons, Josh & Kim Nicoletto and Melissa & Seth Linton. Surviving grandchildren; Story Watsabaugh, Trystan Lyons, Larissa Johnson, Alana Nicoletto, Trevor Forbes, Kiera Linton, Isabella Nicoletto, Felicity Forbes, Kodi Lyons, Gunner Howell, and Chason Lyons. Brothers; Lynn & Christine Villard, Albert & Melody Villard, Kevin & Tammy Villard. Diedra Maneotis, Irene Kitzman, Steve, Tony and family. Dave & Brenda Lyons Family, Cindy & Ken Peterson Family. Nieces and nephews; Sean & Amanda with children Logan, EvaMarie, and Felix Villard, Amy Villard & spouse Cody Tennant, with children Ashley, and Luke. Megan & Jacob Scoggs with children Rowan, Blaikelyn, Sage, and Ridger Scoggs, Kelton, Chloe, Rylee, Tess, Allison, and Emma Villard. Mother-in-law Lucille Kennedy, Butler, Pennsylvania, Brother-in-laws Paul Nicoletto and Kay Hicks, Ed and Lorie Kennedy, Russ and Carrie Snowden family, and too many cousins to mention.
Special friends Bill & Lori Yoast, Rick & Deborah Ciani, Frank & Mickey Riddle, Sari & Chuck Cobb, Michael & Cathy Gush, and Paul & Vicki Lyons. Also all of the Craig Christian Church family.
She is joining in heaven past loved ones, which include, grandparents Felix & Marie Jeanselme Villard, Art Tucker and Eva Haughey, Parents Clair and Bonnie Tucker Villard, Uncle Bert Villard, great niece Clairlynn Villard, Kenny Corriveau, and numerous more.
• Janice was employed with Tri-State Generation and Transmission for 27 years, and a member of the International Brotherhood Electrical Workers and the recording secretary of the unit for many years.
• She was a highly active Board Member and Officer around Craig and Moffat County for several years.

• Moffat County Fair leader and superintendent,
• Emergency Medical Counsel.
• EMS Ambulance Reserves as an originating member.
• member of the Daughters of the American Revolution Augusta Wallihan Chapter as original member and officer.
• Preserving the Last Frontier for several years and officer during all of it.
• Proof of her love and dedication to Craig and Moffat County.
Even though Janice was involved with multiple volunteer projects, she felt truly at home on her family ranch. “The Villard Ranch.” Interment will be at the Craig Cemetery with a lunch here at the church to follow.
A viewing will be held from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m., Thursday, October 3, 2024 at The Grant Mortuary Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, October 4, 2024 at Craig Christian Church.
