Egella Regina Pichon

Egella Regina Pichon was born on January 21, 1936, in New Orleans, Louisiana. From a young age, she was marked by a profound and unwavering faith. At the tender age of eight, she accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her Savior and was baptized on August 8, 1944. This sacred moment of baptism was so significant to Egella that she chose to celebrate it as her true birthday, honoring the day she was reborn in Christ.

Egella’s life was a living testimony of her love for God. She often said that her life was not her own—it belonged to the Lord. With this deep conviction, she dedicated herself to living in a way that honored and glorified God. Every action, word, and decision reflected her purpose: to serve the Lord with all her heart and to lead others to Him. Her faith and devotion were the foundation of everything she did. The legacy of her love, service, faith, and kindness will continue to inspire all who knew her. Her light will forever shine in our hearts, until the day we are reunited with her again.

Mrs. Egella Regina Pichon is survived by Arnell Romain, Arvell Pichon (Keiandra), Sheba Pichon-Brown, Dr. Heidi Theodore, Dr. LaSynge Guyton (Richard), Izalda Parmenter (Scott), Inga Bollhardt (Arnd) Ambries Pichon (Katrina), Earleen Bischoff (Raymond), Chaleca Doyle (Bruce), Hillery Pichon (Isabel), Dr. Phyllice Pichon-Johnson (Johnny), Candie Lee, Herbert Pichon (Lutre’), Ronald Pichon (Mernika), Patricia Pichon, and Kevin Pichon (Michelle). Her brothers, Jeremiah McGee (Margie) James McGee, Sisters Virginia, and Doretha.

She was preceded in heaven by her beloved husband Herbert James Pichon, her parents Chessie & Edna McGee, her brother Melvin McGee, Sisters, Queen Esther, Ruth, and Judy, Children, Larry, Van, Lois, Gerald and Shelia.

She is also survived by over 100 beautiful grandchildren spanning five generations, with one more on the way, along with a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

Evangelist Egella Regina Pichon was called to her eternal home to be with the lord on November 9, 2024.

Rest in eternal peace, beloved Evangelist Egella Regina Pichon. You were a faithful servant, a guiding light, and a true gift to all who knew you.

Family and friends are invited to Grace Funeral Home, 450 Holy Trinity Drive, Covington, LA 70433 on Saturday, November 23, 2024. Viewing will begin at 9:00 am, followed by the service starting at 10:00 am. Interment will follow the service in St. Lazarus of Bethany Memorial Garden, adjacent to Grace Funeral Home, followed by the repast.
