Cole was born in Metairie, and raised on the North Shore. He was proud alumnus of Fontainebleau High School and Southeastern University. Early in his career, he was employed at U.S. Restoration, working alongside his father. He served with distinction as the Head Baseball Coach at both Hammond High School and St. Thomas Aquinas, where he also imparted wisdom as a Religion Teacher and worked as the Advancement Director. His leadership on the field was evident as he coached numerous summer baseball teams and led them to the prestigious Connie Mack World Series. He was known for his quick wit and contagious smile. Cole touched many hearts, both young and old, and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
He leaves behind his loving wife, Taylor Fontenot Catalano; his children, Beau and Maggie Jo; his parents, Wayne Anthony Catalano and Kerry Ann (Kornfeld) Catalano; his brother, Chad Catalano; his in-laws, Steve and Bobbie Fontenot; sisters-in-law Raegen Welborn (Michael) and Bailee Fontenot; his godparents, Michael Shamp and Susan Howell; along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family.
