Charlotte Lynn Fair Sinclair went peacefully home to her Lord and Savior on May 15, 2024. Born on May 17, 1953 in Delano, CA, Charlotte joins her parents: William Dean Fair and Ann Marie Herrmann Fair in heaven.
Charlotte grew up in Delano, graduated from Delano High School and spent the majority of her life in California. She had many occupations over the years including being a horse wrangler at a dude ranch, sorting fruit and avocados grown in the fertile San Juaquin Valley, working in Pacific Bell’s office, selling insurance and investment securities, as a high school secretary, as an extra on movie sets and working in a notary office. However, her most treasured role in life was as caring mother to her three children: Dylan Ashby Wilcox, William Derek Wilcox and Katherine Marie Lyttle. Charlotte adored her family and her most cherished moments were spent with them swimming at the California beaches and camping in the mountains.
Charlotte enjoyed music, singing and playing the piano and she met Greg Warren Sinclair, her husband of 32 years, when they were singing together in a church choir in Ventura, CA. Greg’s work moved them to Mandeville, LA in 1997 and they have remained there ever since. She was passionate about conservative causes and served as President of the St. Tammany Parish Republican Party and President of Republican Professional Women of St. Tammany. Charlotte had a strong faith and deep love of the Lord and was a true evangelist who readily shared her testimony and the good news of the gospel with everyone she met. She appreciated the importance of youth ministry and was actively engaged in church youth group activities for many years - kids were naturally drawn to her vivacious and fun-loving spirit and her open and direct style. Many lives have been forever changed in a positive way because of her ministry.
In addition to her husband, sons and daughter, Charlotte is survived by her brother: Craig Fair; sister: Debbie Fair; brothers-in-law: Mark Sinclair and Scott Sinclair; sisters-in-law: Karen Sinclair and Bridget Sinclair; son-in-law: Dominic Lyttle; daughter-in-law: Jenee Wilcox; grandchildren: Sequoia Wilcox, Cade Vagnier, Cameron Wilcox, Taylor Wilcox, Charlee Wilcox, Asher Lyttle, Eliyah Lyttle and River Lyttle; Derek Wilcox’s partner: Cynthia Santos and Cynthia’s daughter Chloebella Santos-Henrie; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Though deeply saddened by the thought of an earthly life without Charlotte, her family members are comforted by the knowledge that she is at peace and free from pain in eternal life with Jesus.
Relatives, family, and friends are invited to attend her Celebration of Life service at Grace Funeral Home, 450 Holy Trinity Drive in Covington, LA on Friday, May 31, 2024, at noon, with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 1, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at the Belle Bower Cemetery, 1497 Speights Road, Keatchie, Louisiana (west of Longstreet, Louisiana).
