Shirley Lorraine James

Shirley Lorraine James, born on May 15, 1930, peacefully left this world on December 27, 2023, surrounded by the love of her family.

Shirley is survived by her loving son, Ted, and her devoted daughter, Heather. Her grandchildren, Angela (Mark), Adam (Steph), Nicole, and Brandon, were the light of her later years, and her great-grandchildren, Emily, Mackenzie, Natalija, Abigail, Aden, and Austin, were a constant source of joy in her life.

Shirley was predeceased by her husband, Fred, her son Scott and grandson Justin, and their memories were held close to her heart.

Shirley was a devoted Christian and a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a pillar of strength for her family, providing unwavering support and unconditional love, and her quick wit and generous nature touched the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know her.

She leaves behind a legacy of love and resilience that will continue to inspire generations to come.

A celebration of Shirley's life will be held on Friday January 5, 2024 at 1:30 pm at Courtice Funeral Chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Hearth Place Cancer Support Centre in Shirley's honor. Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.

May she rest in eternal peace, reunited with her loved ones who went before her in Heaven.
