Jack was born in Marmora, ON to Everard and Viola McGrath. Predeceased by sisters Helen (Sister Thomas Aquinas), Jean (Jim) Neal and brother Thomas McGrath.
Jack lived a long, peaceful, content and simple life. He shared fond memories of his 41+ years as a sheet metal worker in General Motors, followed by many healthy years of retirement. He enjoyed attending his Saturday afternoon Mass and cheering on the Maple Leafs and Blue Jays. There was always a wonderful and delicious meal that he made to share. Jack loved to visit with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and enjoyed all the stories, pictures and videos whenever possible. It brought a smile to his face.
All of his family will forever miss his love, guidance, well thought out wisdom, sense of humour, willingness to lend a hand and calm conversations.
Jack will be forever missed by his friend, Marlene.
Special thanks to Maria for her care, devotion and friendship. Also a big thank you to all of the caring and compassionate staff (especially Angela) at Taunton Mills LTC, Whitby.
Dad, Gramps, Great-Gramps...until we meet again, May God hold you in the palm of His hand. (Irish Prayer)
