Barbara Shirley Kemp Buckham Mildon

We sadly announce the passing of Barbara Shirley Kemp Mildon (nee Buckham) on Sunday, October 19, in her 84th year, surrounded by family. Mom will be greatly missed by her daughters, Barbara, Jennifer Howse (George) and Laura Lee. Pre-deceased by children, Wende and Thomas,and by her only sibling Rosemary Ryan. Will also be missed by her life long friend and former husband, Fred. Leaves behind 5 grandchildren (Tammy, Jennifer, Rachel, Julia and Deborah) and 3 great-grandchildren (Ravynne, Campbell and Jackson). Remembered fondly by niece Patricia Martin, sister-in-law Pat Mildon (U.K.), and sister-in-law Irene Rupolo as well as sister Rosemary Ryan’s children. Devoted to 2 beloved Siamese cats, Nui and Kai, who will dearly miss their “Moms”. Heartfelt thanks to staff of Unit G8 and Critical Care Station 2 at Lakeridge Oshawa for outstanding care and compassion. Visitation will be held at Courtice Funeral Chapel, 1587 Highway #2 Courtice (905-432-8484) on Wednesday October 22nd, 2014 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. A Funeral Service will take place on Friday October 24th at St. James Cathedral, 66 Church Street, Toronto, at 11:00 AM. Donations may be made to Durham Humane Society.
