Lynn was born on April 26, 1931 in Comox, BC where she was raised by her parents Kay and Polly Pollock. Polly was instrumental in founding the Comox Legion in 1939.
She attended Provincial Normal School in Victoria, BC and then began her teaching career in Princeton, BC.
After moving to Port Coquitlam she continued her teaching career at James Park Elementary School. Teaching was her passion as was her dedication to her students.
After retiring from teaching in 1985, she became a volunteer for the Elizabeth Fry Society at the Port Coquitlam courthouse until moving to her original family home in Comox.
Very shortly after she became a RCMP Victim Services volunteer in Courtenay until the age of 88. Another phase of her life where her dedication, commitment and compassion went beyond.
Another passion of our mothers was curling which she first started in Princeton. She then continued curling with the teachers league after moving to Port Coquitlam which she achieved a 7-ender. She was also a master at crib, enjoyed her crossword puzzles, and was very involved with Bridge.
Her greatest love was for her family. Devoted wife to her husband Paul. Loving Mother to her sons Paul and Douglas, daughter Kathleen.
And cherished grandmother to Kristie Lee and Cole.
Her legacy will live on in the hearts she touched.
Lynn was predeceased by her husband Paul.
Her sister Pippa and brothers Cy and David.
Celebration of life will be held at 11.30am on April 26, 2025 at Piercy’s - Mt. Washington Funeral Home in Courtenay BC.
Interment to follow at 12:30pm at Courtenay Civic Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the SPCA on our mother's memory.
