Born on January 9, 1940, in Brooklyn, NY, Neil was the cherished son of Louis and Frances Sherman and the beloved younger brother of Ken. He pursued his passion for electrical engineering, where he earend his undergraduate degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and completed his Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Southern California. Over his distinguished career, Neil dedicated more than three decades to McDonnell Douglas, Boeing, and subsequently served as a consultant, contributing significantly to various defense systems, many of which were classified projects.
In the summer of 1963, Neil met his beloved wife, Aileen. They were married on December 21, 1963, in Pittsburgh, PA, and soon after, settled in California, where they raised their three children, Dina, Eric, and Michael.
Neil's life was a testament to hard work, dedication, and a spirit of adventure. An avid traveler, he explored 53 countries across seven continents. He enjoyed playing tennis and pickleball, dancing, watching movies, attending theater, and engaging in poker games. Above all, he cherished the time spent with his family and friends.
Neil will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He leaves behind his brother Ken, daughter Dina, sons Eric and Michael, grandchildren Sabrina, Zachary, Ryan, and Cole, along with numerous friends and neighbors on Cheshire Place, where he resided for 54 years. His legacy of love, dedication, and adventure will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
