Frances Jeanette Thomsen

Thomsen, Frances Jeanette, 82, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, of Helendale, California, passed away on April 7, 2013. Frances was born in Compton, California, where she attended high school and met her husband, Sonny, who she celebrated her 63rd wedding anniversary with in June of 2012. Frances enjoyed many fantastic trips over the years with Sonny, and accompanied by their lifelong friends, to tropical places such as Hawaii and Jamaica, as well as trips to Europe and cruises, to name a few. Whether in her kitchen, tending to her garden, in the outdoors, or on many a trip to a Mammoth chalet, you could always count on Frances for her great cooking, beautiful smile, warm heart, and lots of laughs! She was also athletic, taking on snow skiing in her 50’s, chorus dancing in her 60’s, and golfing throughout her life. Her love for her family and friends were evident in all she did. Frances left this world to join her predeceased son, David, as well as her parents, all but one surviving sister, and all of her brothers. Surviving immediate family are her husband, Sonny; her son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Kristin Thomsen; her daughter and son-in-law Diana and Jeff Hall; her four grandchildren, Danielle, CJ, Conner and David; and her three great- grandchildren, Tristan, Ava and Gavin. Private services will be held with family and friends on Monday April 15th at St. Irenaeus Catholic Church in Cypress, CA.
