Dennis Sunao Matsumoto, age 66, passed away unexpectedly on December 1, 2019. Dennis is survived by his mother, Hatsuko Matsumoto; his sister, Karen Taylor, and brother-in-law, Jeff Taylor; his brother, Ed Matsumoto; and his two nieces, Kimberly and Julie Taylor.
Dennis was born on July 20, 1953, in Fullerton, California, to parents, Roy and Hatsuko. He graduated from the University of California, Irvine, in June 1976, with a bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering. Following graduation from UCI, he accepted a position as an electrical/software engineer at Rockwell/Boeing, where he worked for more than 43 years.
Dennis was able to enhance the lives of others through multiple organ donations.
A funeral service is scheduled for 10am on Saturday, December 14, at Harbor Lawn-Mt.Olive Memorial Park and Mortuary, with a reception to follow. All are welcomed to attend and celebrate Dennis's life. The family politely requests no flowers. Casual attire is requested.
