Bob was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan, enjoyed planting flowers, painting, scrapping, collecting old model cars and loved spending time with his family.
He is survived by his two children, Robin Belt and Robert Shaffer; three grandchildren, Tiffany Wolfe, Gregory Wheeler Jr., and Georgette Shaffer; six great-grandchildren, Zaylah, Braxton, Gregory III, Daylin, London and Layannah; three brothers, Russel Shaffer of Florida, Dave Shaffer and Joe Shaffer both of Pennsylvania, along with many nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents, Bob is preceded in death by his siblings, Shirley, Betty, Mildred, Rosie, Diane, Nancy, Woody and Bill Shaffer, and a nephew, Kenny Simmons.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Given-Dawson-Paisley Funeral Home. A Memorial service will follow at 5:00 pm with Pastor Mark Aaron officiating.
