Helen Louise (Brightwell) Schupp, 81, of Coshocton, passed away Thursday, April 11, 2013. She was born February 19, 1932 to the late Everett and Lura (Saylor) Brightwell. Helen spent 27 years as an accountant for the Coshocton Town and Country Club.
She attended the Coshocton First Church of the Nazarene. Helen enjoyed making candy, especially chocolates at Christmas, all types of baking, crocheting, tending to her garden and spring flowers. She married Walter “Gene” Schupp, who precedes her in death.
Helen is survived by her daughter, Bobbi (Phil) Brown of Coshocton; her son, Randy L. (Kathy) McKee of Tiverton Center; grandchildren, Dawna F. Walters-Hardesty (Bryan Hardesty) of Coshocton, Shannon (Artir) Muka of Mt. Vernon, Brandon (Meredith) Walters of Cleveland, Rachel (Eddie) Geary, and Chloe Brown of Coshocton; great-grandchildren, Alexandria (Jared) Muncie, Brianne and Hayli Brown, Sophi Hardesty, and Ana and Ian Muka; great-great-grandchildren, Rayna Nicole Muncie and doggie companions, Buddy and Miley. In addition to her husband and parents, Helen is preceded in death by two brothers, Dave and Charles Brightwell.
Calling hours will be Monday, April 15, 2013, from 5:00-7:00 pm at Given-Dawson Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held in the Chapel of Given-Dawson Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at 11:00 am, with Pastor Starkey Lawrence officiating. Burial will follow at South Lawn Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made in Helen’s name to Shepherd’s Christian Assembly, 311 Main Street, Coshocton, Ohio, 43812 to help the less fortunate.
