Helen Hardesty

Helen J. Hardesty, age 83, of Wellington, Ohio, formally of Coshocton, Ohio, passed away July 14, 2011 at Elm Retirement Village in Wellington, Ohio. She was born in Tunnel Hill, Coshocton County,on April 28, 1928, the daughter of the late Stewart and Maudest (Easter) McCurdy. Helen graduated from Union High School in 1946. She worked as office manager for many years at Columbia Gas before retiring in 1985. On April 7, 1951 she married her loving husband Robert Hardesty, who survives. Helen is also survived by her daughter Shirley (Lee) Johnson of Wellington, Ohio; two grandchildren, Aaron Johnson and Greta (Mike Gilbride) Johnson; two great grandchildren, Wyatt and Gabrielle Johnson; and two siblings Carl (Jean) McCurdy of Warsaw, Ohio and Wilma Fawcett of Gambier, Ohio. Funeral services will be held Monday, July 18, 2011 at 10:00AM at the Given-Dawson Funeral Home in Coshocton, Ohio, with Lloyd Tenney officiating. Burial will follow at Coshocton County Memory Gardens. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, July 17, 2011 from 2-4:00PM at the Given-Dawson Funeral Home in Coshocton, Ohio.
