Deborah Joan King, 69, of Coshocton, passed away at Morrison House surrounded by loved ones on Monday, March 28, 2022. She was born in Coshocton on May 28, 1952 to the late Herbert and Kathleen (Brannon) Lee.
Deborah graduated from Coshocton High School in 1970 and was a cheerleader. She later went on to earn an Associate's Degree at MATC. Deborah worked at Simco-Peabody for many years, and as an office manager for Dr. Moses’ office where she retired. She enjoyed reading any genre, but especially mysteries and romance novels. She liked to do crafts such as crocheting, needlepoint and cross stitch, and painting, loved animals, and really enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She had a big heart, and enjoyed going to her partner Dan’s house and sitting by the fire and listening to music. She enjoyed playing cards (hand and foot, and housie), shopping, and watching her daughter and granddaughter show horses.
Deborah is survived by her daughter Alonna (Scott) Hoffman, and committed partner Dan Leonard. She is also survived by granddaughter Kendall Hoffman, sisters Regina (Tony) Kiefer and Rebecca (Dave Dahlberg) Barry. Deborah is also survived by good friends Cinda Matthews and Cathy Snyder, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Deborah was preceded in death by her parents, and loving husband Charles “Louie” King.
Calling hours will be held at Given-Dawson-Paisley Funeral Home Sunday, April 3, 2022 from 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm and from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm, and on Monday, April 4, 2022 from 10:00 am – 11:00 am. A funeral service will take place on Monday, April 4, 2022 at 11:00 am officiated by Pastor Mary Molnar. Burial will follow at New Hope Cemetery in Adamsville, Ohio.
