She is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Teodora Garcia Mendiola and brother, Ibar Garcia.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her brother, Fernando Garcia; her nephew, Danny (Mari) Mendiola, who she raised as her own. She also helped raise her great-niece, Kailee and great-nephew, Danny Lee III. Virginia is also survived by nephews, Michael (Laura) Garcia, Albert Garcia and niece, Letty Garcia and numerous other nieces and nephews.
Visitation will held at Funeraria Del Angel Memorial Holly from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., Friday, July 18, 2014 with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening.
Chapel services will be held at Funeraria Del Angel-Memorial Holly at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, July 19, 2014. Services will conclude after the chapel service.
