Victoria "Toriah" Benavidez

Our beautiful Victoria was born on March 9, 1997, in Corpus Christi, Tx and gained her wings November 3, 2023.

Victoria was such a loving, generous and free-spirited girl who truly had a heart of gold. Many who knew her would say she was feisty, outspoken and a rebel, but she loved so deeply and if she loved you, you would know it. As a child, Victoria loved to dance, sing, play dress up with her cousins, take pictures, and simply enjoyed all things kids would. Her love for her family was unmatched! She loved them and they loved her too. She wasn’t perfect but she was our “Toriah.”

Victoria is preceded in death by her Grandmother, Maria G. Benavidez, Grandfather, Juan R. Castillo, Paternal Aunt, Betty Jo Castillo, Younger Cousins, Luis Semaj White III and Atreyia Nikole Cruz.

Victoria leaves behind her brothers, Ruben (Tiffany) Benavidez, Matthew (Isabella) Benavidez, Christopher Cruz; sister, Heaven (Howard) Benavidez; nephews, Ruben IV, Jayden Lee, Julius Matthew; nieces, Aria Maria, Emery Ann, Anayeli Jo; aunts, Ida Benavidez, Tuesday Lily Benavidez; guardians, Daisee Benavidez (Roshawn Nash); uncles, Mark (Margarita) Benavidez, Matthew (Elaine) Trevino, John Ross Castillo. Victoria also leaves behind her bonus sisters/cousins, Dru’ Emery Smith, D’Ana Lopez, Amiyah Nash; bonus brother/cousin, Joshua Lopez; cousins, Andrea, Mark Enrique, Maritza, Jose Benavidez, Roland, Aubry Cervantes, Breanna, Lawrence Trevino, and Henry Flores. She is also survived by Ruben Benavidez Jr, Olga Cruz, and extended family in Austin and Corpus Christi, Tx.

Victoria, “we all love you far past this life and you will be missed so much!”

A visitation for Toriah will be held Wednesday, November 15, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Memory Gardens Funeral Home & Cemetery, 8200 Old Brownsville Road, Corpus Christi, Texas 78415. A funeral service will occur Thursday, November 16, 2023 at 10:00 AM, 8200 Old Brownsville Road, Corpus Christi, Texas 78415. A graveside service will occur Thursday, November 16, 2023 at 11:30 AM at Rose Hill Memorial Park, 2731 Comanche, Corpus CHristi, Texas 78415.
