Teresa Safira Hinojosa Menchaca

She worked with West Oso School District until her retirement.

Teresa was loved by all and will be dearly missed by her family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Casimiro Menchaca and Herminia Hinojosa; sister, Lydia Holt; twin sister, Esmeralda Martinez and son -in-law, Richard Garza .

Teresa is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Armando Menchaca; daughters, Belinda Garza of Beeville, Texas, Norma Solis (David), Nora Parsons of Austin, Texas and Melissa Garza (Micky); grandchildren, Layla Garza, Lana Garza, Aaron Solis, Christine Solis, Lucas Solis, Amanda Parsons, Billy Parsons, Miayla Garza, Matthew Garza, Michael Garza and Myles Garza; great-grandchildren, Mikenna Willow, Macyn Silvas, Tiago Martinez and Liam Parsons. Also surviving are her siblings, Casimiro Hinojosa (Berta), Candelaria Soliz (Federico), Gabriel Hinojosa (Gloria) and Leonardo Hinojosa (Mona); numerous nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to than the nursing staff at Spohn Shoreline A4 ICU, most especially Adrienne and Marguerite, Dr. Nelly Garcia, and all of the staff at Odyssey Hospice Care.

Public visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel-Memorial Holly on Thursday, August 30, 2012 with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. Rites of a Christian burial will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, August 31, 2012 at Our Lady of Pilar Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
