Reynaldo “Ray” Flores Leal, 88, was welcomed by our Heavenly Father on February 12, 2018. He was born in Runge, TX on December 31, 1929 to Francisco and Caratina Leal. He was preceded in death by parents; sister, Corina Perez; daughters, Roseana Longoria, Katy Deleon; son, Reynaldo Leal Jr. and grandsons, Reynaldo Deleon and Riko Rodriguez. Ray is survived by his wife of 70 years, Beatriz Pedraza Leal; children, Arnold (Yolanda) Leal, Maria Estella Cordero; daughter-in-law, Mary Leal, Amelia Balboa, Arnulfo (Maria) Leal, Israel (Irene) Leal, Evalinda (Richard Rodriguez), Prajedes Leal, Viola (Joe) Ochoa, Michael (Mary) Leal, Sam Rodriguez, Amelia Arizmendez, Roland (Dora) Rodriguez, Raymond (Jenny) Rodriguez; siblings, Frank (Ofelia) Leal, Arturo (Santa+) Leal, Irene (Arturo+) Villarreal, Fernando (Dahlia) Leal, Alicia (Max), Cabrera, Armando (Elizabeth) Leal, Idahlia (Robert) Garza.
Ray is also survived and blessed by 53 grandchildren; 84 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great grandchildren whom he loved unconditionally. He served in the U.S. Army at the age of 15 during WWII and after the war ended and he was discharged, he later at age 17 joined and served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was a true Patriot and was proud of his service to our country.
Ray was owner Ray Auto Parts for 42 years and worked until two days priors to his death. He had passion for the Automobile recycling business. He loved watching western movies and John Wayne movies were his favorite. He loved going to his ranch in West Sinton and taking care of his horses and enjoying the peace and quiet at the ranch. Pallbearers will be Gabriel Leal, Higinio Deleon Jr., Louie Leal, Augustine Balboa III, Arnulfo Francisco Leal, Michael A. Leal, Joe Henry Ochoa Jr., Jesus Gonzalez and Albert Longoria. Visitation will be held at Memory Gardens Funeral Home on Thursday, February 15, 2018 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a Holy Rosary to be held at 7:00 pm that same evening. Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church, Friday, February 16, 2018 at 1:00 pm with entombment to follow at Memory Gardens Mausoleum.
