Raul was a beloved father, grandfather and great grandfather. He served his country in the United States Army and as a Merchant Marine. He was a boxing coach for many years with Triple A Boxing Club in Corpus Christi. He was proudly involved with golden gloves of America boxing. He will be remembered for being a hardworking man to his five children and his beloved wife, Maria Santos.
He is preceded in death by his parents; spouse of 62 beautiful years, Maria Santos Franco; brothers, Frank and Rafael Franco.
He leaves to cherish his memories his five beloved children, Antonio Franco (Elva), Adam Franco (Christina), Arnold Franco (Norma), Robert Franco (Athena), Tomas Franco (Irene); grandchildren, Bonnie, Eliza, Elva, Brandon, Steven, Evan, Marina, Briana, Nova, Arnold Jr., Aaron, Sabrina, Gabriela, Thomas Jr., Theresa, Jason, Jenna; twenty six great-great grandchildren; brother, Alberto Franco; and sister, Maria Refugia Esparza. He also leaves a host of extended family and friends.
The family would like to extend a very Special Thank you to Caraday Nursing Home and Altus Hospice for all their support and care throughout this time.
Family will receive friends at Memory Gardens Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 18, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A Holy Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m.
Funeral Service will be held at Memory Gardens Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 19, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. with Entombment to follow in Memory Gardens Mausoleum.
