Paul and I were childhood playmates when we started grade school at St. Boniface. I lived across the alley from his family and spent a lot of  summer time activities at their house. Back then we had "sand stores" it was a great time growing up in this neighborhood.  I am sadden to hear of this passing....Paul will certainly be missed by many.  Donna Foster Schutte

Paul was my friend in 2nd grade.  He was a smart, calm kid with a quiet sense of humor.  I met him again at a high school class reunion 11 years ago, and he seemed very much the same person.  I was surprised to learn he was one of the guys who set up the scenarios and contingencies for the "war games" we played when I was in the Air Force.  I had always wondered who wrote those things.  I had been looking forward to seeing him again last summer at our 50th HS reunion, and I'm most saddened to hear of his death.

Many classmates from Quincy Illinois recall Paul as a quiet and friendly guy. Paul clearly was an accomplished and good man. I am saddened as we lose another classmate.

Paul and Theresa brought me into the St. John's Choir nearly five years ago.  A month, or two, later, Paul brought me into the Knights of Columbus at St. John.  My discussions with Paul convinced me to attend R.C.I.A. classes with my wife, Laura.  Paul was a humble, quiet, and respectful motivator.  To me, Paul was somewhat of a Renaissance man because his interests and expertise spanned so, so many different subjects.   Laura and I loved Paul and really enjoyed his spirituality, his humor, his intellect, his stories about working on U.S. ships, and his way of seeing things.    We will really miss his conversations and his kindness. 
Paul was a great man and will be missed by many.

Our friendship with Paul began while we were attending R.C.I.A. classes at ST. John the Baptist Church. We were drawn to his easy-going personality,"quiet" knowledge and sense of humor. During the past several years Paul was a warm and considerate friend. His courage has been an inspiration. We will miss him.

Uncle Paul will be missed by many. Paul was always a joy to be around and he always so many amazing stories.

Paul and I worked together for many years analyzing missile and weapon systems performance. I started in the Missile Evaluation Department in 1963 and helped train Paul in the missile business when he came aboard in about 1966. Over the years Paul became acquainted with my wife and family and was a great friend to us all. He always visited when he was in Southern Calif. The world has lost a good man.

My wife Priscilla and I first met Paul in 1972 in Puerto Rico. We both worked for Fleet Missile Systems Analysis and Evaluation Group or FMSAEG as we called it in Corona, California. Paul became a lifelong friend. We enjoyed some holidays together and bike riding, astronomy, sailing and other activities throughout the years. We also knew Theresa and came to love her as much as we loved Paul. We are fortunate that we were able to visit them a few times in our cross-country travels. We offer our heartfelt condolences to Paul's family, Theresa's family and Paul's other close friends.

Paul was my across the street neighbor and blessed me immensely!  He was such a delight and pleasure, and always came over to visit when I was outside.  He touched my heart with his joy and perseverance.  He will most definitely be missed.
