Mercedes Guerrero

She started working at a young age in the fields picking whatever was in season with her family. She also worked at Old Mexico Restaurant for 20 years, later worked at Atlas Radiator for 20 years, and then retired. She was a member of the Guadalupana’s at Holy Family Church and assisted in church services.

Mercedes is preceded in death by her, father Juan Guerrero Sr.; mother Augustina Rojas Guerrero; brothers, Juan Guerrero Jr., Felix Guerrero; sisters Maria Guerrero Rodriguez, Eustacia Guerrero Gómez.

Mercedes is survived by 2 Brothers, Domingo R. Guerrero Sr. ( wife Maria Yolanda Guerrero), Gumesindo Guerrero ( wife Petra Guerrero) and 12 Nephews and 6 Nieces.

We would like to give a “Very Special Thanks” to Irene Rodriguez and Crystal Wyrick. Thank you for taking great care of our Tia Mercy.

To Stella Rae Ruiz on behalf of the family, we want to thank you very much, for how well you took care of Mercy. You always went above and beyond tending to her.

Pallbearers: Domingo Guerrero Jr, John Joe Guerrero, Omar Guerrero, Paul Rodriguez Jr, Gumesindo Guerrero Jr, and Joe Rojas Jr.

Visitation will take place on Thursday, June 8, 2023, 549 Cheyenne St., Corpus Christi, TX from 5:00pm-9:00pm with a Holy Rosary at 7:00pm.

Visitation will resume on Friday, June 9, 2023, 549 Cheyenne St., at 11:00am with a Funeral Mass celebrated at 1pm at Holy Family Catholic Church, 2509 Nogales, Corpus Christi, Texas.
