Matthew Moreno

Matthew grew up in Corpus Christi, Texas where he attended West Oso High School. He lived in Corpus Christi, where he enjoyed building small crafts, dining at new restaurants, and watching wrestling. Matthew may have had some struggles, but lived life to the fullest. He was a quiet, loving, and a gentle soul. Matthew would do anything for his family and friends. Big Matt was always a person you could count on, he made everyone who knew him laugh by being silly and funny.

Matthew Moreno was preceded in death by his stepmother, Rosie Moreno; and stepfather, Manuel Chavez.

He is survived by his father, Martin Moreno; his mother, Irene Moreno; sisters, Martina Moreno and Kimberly Moreno; brothers, Joey (Mari) Chavez, Danny (Jamie) Chavez, Benny Chavez, and Mark Chavez. He is also survived by many nephews and nieces.

Our family is grateful to know that our beloved Matthew is finally at peace.

Visitation for Matthew will be held at Funeraria Del Angel Cheyenne, 549 Cheyenne St., on Saturday, March 4, 2023 from 3:00 pm to 10:00 pm with a Life Celebration at 7:00 pm that same evening.
