Maria L. "Licha" Mota

Maria L. “Licha” Mota, 90, passed away on May 3, 2015 in Corpus Christi, Texas. She was born on August 25, 1924 to Felix Benjamin Garcia and Carmen Rodriguez. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She loved the outdoors and attending ball games for her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed traveling to the Casinos in Louisiana and Texas. Licha is preceded in death by her husband Pedro Mota; son, Adolfo Mota Sr.; daughter, Guadalupe Garcia and her 2 brother and 1 sister. She is survived by her children, Severo Sr. (Eva) Mota, Evangelina (Homer †) Segovia, Olivia (Joel Sr.) Gutierrez, Irma (Juan Jr.) Hinojosa, Mary Lou Blado, Diana (Arturo Sr.) Ysaguirre, Cruz (Gilbert Sr.) Yanez, Sylvia (Gilbert Gonzalez) Flores; brother, Juan Garcia; sisters, Beatrice Graham, Guadalupe Ham, Yolanda Perez, Ofelia Barrows and Mary Helen Chodosh. She also leaves behind to cherish her memory 42 grandchildren, 82 great- grandchildren, 49 great-great- grandchildren and 15 great-great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held at Memory Gardens Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 6th, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. Funeral Service will be at Memory Gardens Funeral Home on Thursday, May 7th, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. with interment to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
