Mrs. Clark worked many jobs during her lifetime but truly enjoyed being an Avon representative to all of her clients. She loved giving advice. Her attendance at church services was very rewarding to her, and she cherished the friendships that she established with other church members. She was a very compassionate, warm-hearted, and understanding lady who helped those in need of feeding and prayers. She loved watching her novelas daily, listening and dancing to music, traveling, and gambling at Coushatta. One of her most memorable travels was my dad’s and her vacation to Hawaii gifted by her son, Ernesto.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Benito S. Clark; her parents, Wenceslado and Antonia Almanza; her sisters: Petra Soliz, Maria Rodriguez, and Elisa Meza; her brothers: Jesus Almanza, Ruben Almanza, and Ricardo Almanza. Mrs. Clark is survived by her six children: Laurie Morin, Ernesto Clark, Linda (Juan) Eguia, Mario (Becky) Clark, Leticia Clark, and Jerry (Monica) Clark. She is also survived by four sisters (Janie Sanchez, Amelia Villarreal, Margarita “Mage” Serna, and Susana Aguilar); Balentin Gonzales (her self-adopted son); her best friends (Josefina Molina and Asencion Garcia), 15 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and by Susie, her beloved dog.
Pallbearers will be Glenn Jesse Clark, Carlos Garcia, Sr., Carlos Garcia, Jr., Balentin Gonzales, Albert Herrera, and Ben Anthony Morin.
We appreciate wholeheartedly the staff of the Fellowship Hospice nursing team (Joyce, Lonnie, Javier, and Frank). A special warm-hearted appreciation is extended to Joyce who cared for our mother her last week before her departure to her eternal rest. Appreciation is also extended to Dr. Charles Breeling and his nursing team for overseeing our mother’s medical care for many years.
