Manuel M. Acuña Jr.

Manuel was born on April 29, 1956, to the late Manuel and Olivia Acuña.

He is preceded in death by his wife Imelda Acuña; parents Manuel and Olivia Acuña; his brothers Hilario Acuña (Elda), and Francisco Acuña (Anita), and two sisters Delia Barrera (Pancho), and Mary Jane Mendoza.

Manuel M. Acuña Jr. is survived by his daughters Isabel Acuña Castillo, Annabel Acuña (Eddie), and Gracie Acuña (Johnny Joe), and Larry Sanchez Jr. (Grandson) who was like a son to him. He also leaves behind his sister Cordelia Flores (Robert) and a brother Antonio Acuña. Manuel M. Acuña Jr. is also survived by his 11 grandkids, 11 great-grandkids, multiple nieces nephews and close friends.

Manuel was retired from the City of Corpus Christi where he worked for 33 years. He started as a janitor and worked his way up to a plant operator. In his spare time, he enjoyed watching his grandkids play sports and watching the Astros. He enjoyed being outdoors barbecuing, working on cars, and fishing. In his earlier days, Manuel enjoyed playing softball with his long-time friend David Flores.

The family would like to thank close friends of Manuel, Vicente Ramos, Rodolfo Ramirez, and Cipriano Rocha Jr. for always checking up on Manuel and always visiting with him.
