Linda Jeanette Arevalo - 67 years of age was called by our heavenly father on Sunday, February 28, 2021. Linda was born on June 24, 1953 in Grafton, North Dakota to John B. Prieto and Paula G. Prieto. She was a loving, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and sister in Christ who had a strong faith and belief in God. Linda and her husband Eustolio Arevalo Jr. were married 52 beautiful years. They enjoyed traveling to visit family together. Linda loved being surrounded by her husband, children, grandchildren, and family. She also enjoyed sharing God’s word to whomever she encountered. She loved singing and dancing to all genres of music including Christian songs, Oldies, and International Spanish music. Linda enjoyed family gatherings in her home, watching movies with her husband, children, and Coco (chihuahua), and was fond of decorating her home. She was known for having a big heart that extended love to everyone around her. Linda had a contagious smile that would light up any room with a great sense of humor and enjoyed spreading laughter.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, John B. Prieto and Paula G. Prieto, two brothers Martin Leal Jr. and Andres Leal; one sister, Beatrice Prieto Johnson; and brother-in- law, Nick A. Paloukos Sr.
Survivors include her husband Eustolio (JR) Arevalo Jr., in-laws Eustolio G. and Sovieda Arevalo; three sons Eustolio Roberto Arevalo, Roger Arevalo (Veronica R. Arevalo), John P. Arevalo; and daughter Veronica Arevalo Gutierrez (Luis Angel Gutierrez). Her brothers and sister Maria Elena Paloukos, Robert Prieto (Magdalena Prieto), and Joe Sostenes Prieto (Karen Prieto).
Grandchildren: Joshua Ryan Arevalo, Justin Roger Arevalo (fiancé Analisa Martinez), Brandon James Villarreal (Samantha Villarreal), John Bryan Arevalo, Arianne Faith (Arevalo) Lopez (Chris Lopez), Lindsey Nicole Trejo, Jeremy Robert Villarreal, Kaylyn Ashley Arevalo, Christian Issac Villarreal, and Noah Robert Arevalo.
Extended grand-children: Crystal Arnold (Brandon Arnold) Luis Angel Gutierrez III, Justin Luis Gutierrez, Antonio Saenz and Austin Huff.
Great Grandchildren: Ryan William Arnold, Alyvia Saenz and Andrew Saenz.
Additional family members: Esteven Marciel Johnson, Paula Johnson, Sonia Johnson, Reyna Johnson and their families.
Visitation will begin Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at 12:30 p.m. at Funeraria del Angel Everhart, 4901 Everhart Road, Corpus Christi, TX 78411, with chapel service at 2:00 p.m. Burial to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery, 8200 Old Brownsville Road, Corpus Christi, TX 78415.
