She married Ernest James Williams in 1946.
Kathryn was a faithful member of the First United Methodist Church in Alice, Texas where she was a Sunday school teacher for many years. She was also a loving and faithful member of St. Luke’s Methodist Church in Houston, Texas.
She served as a legal secretary to the District Attorney of Jim Wells and Brooks Counties in Alice, Texas before moving to Houston in 1971 to work for Vinson and Elkins. Kathryn was the personal secretary to former Governor John B. Connally until her retirement.
Kathryn loved being with her family and friends. Her greatest joys were spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Kathryn was preceded in death by her parents W.J. and Nanny Lindsay, her twin sister Kathleen, and her brother Wilbur (Bill) Lindsay. Surviving are her son Eugene James (Harriet) Williams of Kingsville, Texas and Donald Lindsay (Elizabeth) Williams of Sugarland, Texas, three grandchildren Lisa (Rodney) Smith of Corpus Christi, Texas, Helen (John) Schroff of Conroe, Texas and James Williams of New York, New York, and three great grandchildren Ryan Smith, Reid Smith, and Lohan Thomas.
An inurnment will be held on Friday, February 26th, at 2 pm at Memorial Oaks Cemetery in Houston.
A Memorial Service to honor the life of Kathryn Williams will be held on Saturday, February 27th, at 11 am in the Chapel at St. Lukes Methodist Church in Houston.
