Juanita V. Barrera, 81, of Corpus Christi, TX, passed away on August 4th, 2019. She was born October 23, 1937 in Benavides, Texas, to Eudelia and Augustine Villarreal. Married to her loving husband Francisco Javier Barrera (deceased) for 50 years and found the strength to live on for 7 years with her beautiful daughter Judith Barrera Broll, son-in-law Stephen Broll, and two wonderful grandchildren Stephenie Judith Broll and Samuel Benjamin Broll; her pride and joy. Juanita was loving and caring to all who were around her. She and Javier loved to travel the world. Juanita taught children at Club Estates and Central Park for 28 years, she loved to teach children, loved gardening, and ranching with Javier her whole life. She was loved by her four sisters, Margie Lawrence, Lidia Hernandez, Bertha Garza, and Mary Olga Villarreal (deceased), also her three brothers, Jose (deceased), Mario, and Arnold Villarreal. She is survived by three sister-in-laws Ester Vallejo, Mari (Eddie) Muñoz, & Zulema Saldaña. We will continue to remember her unconditional love and memories to go on.
Visitation will be held at Cage Mills Funeral Directors on Thursday, August 8, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Pius X Catholic Church on Friday, August 9, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. with Burial to follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park.
