Juan F. Rosales of Corpus Christi, TX, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend entered into eternal rest on January 20, 2018 in Richardson, TX at the age of 91. He was born on May 6, 1926 in Live Oak, TX to Pedro and Trinidad Rosales.
Dad enlisted in the Navy on April 11, 1944 and served as a Seaman First Class in the American Area Campaign and Asiatic-Pacific Area Campaign. He was honorably discharged on April 16, 1946.
On June 12, 1946, he married the love of his life, Antonia De La Rosa and they were happily married for over 65 years until mom’s passing.
Dad was employed as a Firefighter with the City of Corpus Christi for 33 years, retiring in 1984.
Dad was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Antonia. He is survived by his sons and daughters, John (Irene) Rosales of San Antonio, Linda Rosales of Bishop, Drusilla Olivares of Corpus Christi, Donna (Reynaldo) Mireles of Corpus Christi, Ray Rosales of Dallas, Jim (Rachel) Rosales of Sachse and Tom (Laura) Rosales of Pearland, 10 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
Public visitation will begin at 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Friday, January 26, 2018 at Memory Gardens Funeral Home, 8200 Old Brownsville Rd with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm in the evening. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1:00 pm on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 2509 Nogales Street. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
