He is preceded in death by his father, Santos. He is survived by his mother; his daughters, Patricia, Tamra and Jessica Hernandez; grandsons, Isaiah and Jonathon Hernandez; one brother, Santos Hernandez, Jr. (Margarita); one sister, Gloria Cavender and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members and friends.
Jose was a loving father, son, grandfather and brother who will be dearly missed. He dedicated his life to his grandchildren and proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He was a great musician and played numerous instruments but the guitar was his favorite. He was a member of many bands throughout the years but most known was the group “La Diferencia de Jesse Soto”.
Visitation will begin on Friday, August 13, 2010 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm that same evening. A Chapel service will take place on Saturday, August 14, 2010 at 10:00 am with interment to follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery.
