Helen Marie Buchanan passed away on October 8, 2012 at the age of 87. She was born on May 20, 1925 in Scotland, TX to the late Frank and Katherine Luig.
Preceding her in death are her siblings, Raymond Luig, Gladys Meurer and Ed Luig; brothers in-law, Lloyd Scheffe and Lloyd Meurer and sister in-law, Catherine Luig.
Left behind to cherish her memory are her children, Marilyn Kay McClasky (Ron), David Lee Sullivan, Susan Ellen Halsey (Rex); seven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren and siblings, Dorothy Scheffe and Florence Koetter (Kenneth).
Helen loved and was widely known for her western dancing. She had a green thumb and enjoyed gardening. She retired from Kroger and she was awarded friendliest checker of the year several times.
