Guadalupe P Lopez

Jose Guadalupe Lopez, 77, of Corpus Christi, Texas, passed away on Thursday, September 22, 2022. He was born in Robstown, Texas on November 13, 1944. Jose graduated from Del Mar College and received his Certification in Automotive Technology. He married Avelia G. Lopez on December 27, 1972.

Jose worked in Automotive Technology for Good Year, Sam’s Club and O’Reilly Auto Parts and retired in 2012. He was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. He loved boxing, football and western movies.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Avelia G. Lopez; father, Juan Lopez, Sr.; mother, Cruz P. Lopez; brother, Felipe Villanueva and sisters, Maria Villanueva, Victoria Rodriguez and Jesusita Villanueva.

He is survived by his 12 children and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers, Bonifacio Villanueva, Santiago Villanueva and Juan Lopez, Jr.

A visitation for Guadalupe will be held Sunday, October 2, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Memory Gardens Funeral Home, 8200 Old Brownsville Road, Corpus Christi, Texas 78415. Holy rosary will be recited Sunday, October 2, 2022 at 7:00 PM. Funeral service will be held on Monday, October 3, 2022 at 10:00 AM, with burial to follow at 11:15 AM at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
