Esmeralda F. Martinez was called home on April 27, 2023 at the age of 85 Esmeralda was born in Alice, Texas. To Pedro T. Flores and Zoila G. Flores. Esmeralda met the love of her life Jose Martinez they were married on Nov, 22 1959 for a total of 54 years. They would go on to have 3 children. Esmeralda was a very loving and caring strong woman, wife and mother. She worked for many years at the Haggar Pant Factory as a Supervisor. She also volunteered at The Schoenstatt Movement Center for many years. She worked at CC Bingo for 12 years for many of the Religious organizations and CCISD Grandparent program. Esmeralda and her husband loved to travel and gamble she loved her family and friends.
Esmeralda is preceded in death by her parents, Pedro T. Flores and Zoila G. Flores; a sister, Maria Inez Ramirez; two brothers, Pedro Flores II Francisco "The Frank Flores”; a son, Joseph Michael and husband, Jose Martinez.
Among those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Yvonne Martinez; son, Eric Martinez (Melisa); a grandson, Christopher Michael Martinez; four granddaughters, Erica M. Ramos (Ruben), Amberlynn, JoAlison and Kaitlian Martinez; two great grandchildren, Johan Michael and Emilia Rose Martinez; a sister, Michaela Reynolds; two sisters in law, Petra C. Flores and Connie Garcia; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Special Thanks to her granddaughter, Erica M. Ramos for the great help she gave her mother Yvonne in taking care of her grandmother which she loved dearly. We also would like to extend our gratitude to C.C. Hospice Care for the great care they gave Esmeralda. Thank You to Debbie Pulido RN, Brenda Coates DON, Susan Williams RN, Amy Higuera LVN, Aissa Garza, Courtney, Candelaria HHA, Anita Social Worker and Issiah Chaplain.
Esmeralda will be dearly missed by all who loved and knew her.

Public visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at Funeraria Del Angel Memorial Holly Chapel with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m on Thursday, May 11, 2023 at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church with interment to follow at Seaside Memorial Park.
