Ema G. Salinas

She married her husband of 57 years on November 8, 1953, Mike Salinas. She was self-employed as the owner operator of Ema’s Beauty Shop. She was a loving mother, grandmother and wife. She loved working with special needs children as a para professional for CCISD. She also loved to cook wearing her favorite apron, sewing, and singing while she worked.

Ema is preceded in death by her husband, Mike Salinas, and parents Nemias and Joseph Arredondo, granddaughter Crystal Pena, 1 sister and 3 brothers.

She is survived by her children Diana Salinas, Mike (Anita) Salinas, Areli Lilly (Raymond) Gonzales, Dahlia (Robert)Martinez, Alejandrao (Sylvia) Salinas; her sisters, Jesusita Vergara, Raquel Morin, Lydia Saenz, Yolanda Castenada; grandchildren, Jennifer Tamez, Trey Tamez, Natalie De La Cruz, Jackie Keiper, Victoria Martinez, Anthony Martinez, Rebekah N. Martinez, Ray Michael Gonzales and great grandchildren Joey Rios, and Johnathan Rios.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at Funeraria Del Angel-Memorial Holly from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at SS Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m. with entombment will follow at Memory Gardens Mausoleum.
