She loved, more than words can describe, her growing family and friends both near and far. She was strong, hardworking, had the biggest heart, and believed it was always 5 o’clock somewhere. She was a member of the SPJST, Czech Heritage Society, Aggie Moms Club, and Most Precious Blood Catholic Church. She also was an active participant of the Sunday Social at Robstown Community Dance Hall.
She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers Joe, Anton “Junior,” Raymond, and Johnny Benes; sisters Maria Gallia and Margaret Whitmire; Gordon Smith; Earl “Mac” McCoy.
Left to cherish precious memories, sons Michael Mitchan, David (Donna) Mitchan, Jerry J. Mitchan; sister Elizabeth Vohl; grandchildren Kyle (Taryn), Donika, Nicole, Michael Ryan, Emily and Crystal (Steve); great-grandchildren Steven Allen, Oliver, Miller, Davis, Elyse and Tenley; numerous nieces, nephews and a very special longtime friend Duane McAlister.
Visitation will be held at Funeraria Del Angel Everhart (4901 Everhart Rd., Corpus Christi, Texas 78411) on Tuesday, August 27, 2024 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm with the Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00pm. Funeral service will be on Wednesday, August 28, 2024 at 10:00am at Funeraria Del Angel Everhart with interment to follow at Sandia Cemetery in Sandia, Texas.
