David Randall Syring, age 47 passed away on Monday, October 7, 2024. He is survived by his father, Jim Syring and stepmother Jeane Syring, his brother James Syring and family, his brother Darryl Hurt and wife Claudia Hurt, his sister Darla Matlock and her children, his nephew Naithan Matlock, his niece Michelle Smith and her husband David Smith, his nephew Bryan Madden and his children, his great niece Amelia Madden, and his great nephew Braden Madden, his Aunt Kay Henry and her children, his cousins Audrey McKelvey, and John Schnitz and wife Christina Schnitz, Jason Wilson and wife Swati Gupta, and many other family and friends.
“He was always on the ball for any truck company he worked for and cheerful at work. He was a good son and friend, we accomplished many things together. I loved him dearly.” Jim Syring, his father.
David was a fun-loving person who loved his mom’s cooking and would travel from Houston to eat a simple meal of home-cooked spaghetti with her. He said, “It was worth the drive.” He spent most of his adult life as a commercial truck driver. I pray he can reunite with his loved ones in Heaven. I know his beloved mother, Ellen Fontz and his cherished son, Taylor Syring will be waiting to receive him with open arms.
David was very adventurous and enjoyed outdoor hobbies such as swimming, boating, sky-diving, riding his motorcycle, going on walks with his dogs, hiking, music, going to concerts, and many more. He loved his family and friends deeply even if he didn’t always show it.
A small cemetery service will be held on Monday, October 14, 2024 at 3:00 P.M. Gifts and flowers are not needed, but if you would like to, you can donate to the charity of your choice. Since David was an animal lover, especially his dogs, Gulf Coast Humane Society would be a great non-profit organization for donations in his memory.
