Brit Applewhite

While growing up in Corpus Christi, he was a member of 2nd Baptist Church. He was a 1977 graduate of Richard King High School and attended Ranger Jr. College.

Brit loved outdoor sports, especially baseball and football. Exceeding in these sports from Little League through High School, and briefly playing baseball at Ranger Jr College until an injury ended his time there. His additional pastimes included his passion and love for hunting and fishing.

He worked most of his career as an inspector in the fire protection industry and relocated to the Austin area many years ago.

Brit was a big jokester most of his life. Always making people laugh. He will be dearly cherished and missed by his family and friends forever.

Brit was preceded in death by his dad, John L. Applewhite Jr.

He is survived by his son, Taylor (Carye) Applewhite of Alamosa, CO; his Mom, Betty Applewhite of Corpus Christi, TX.; his brother, Jeff (Kathleen) Applewhite of Broken Arrow, OK.; sister, Rene Applewhite of Corpus Christi, TX.; aunt, Pat Beesley of Corpus Christi, TX. ; five nephews; two great nieces and one great nephew along with extended family and friends.

A celebration of life for Brit is scheduled for Monday, February 26, 2024 at Funeraria Del Angel located at 4901 Everhart Road, Corpus Christi, Texas 78411 starting at 1:30 pm.
