Beverly M. Volk

She graduated from both WB Ray High School and Del Mar College and attended Texas A & I University in Kingsville. She married Roland M Volk and they lived in Corpus Christi prior to moving to Atlanta GA. While in Atlanta Beverly was a homemaker. After Shawn graduated Beverly began a successful career in Sales and Marketing. In 2010 she returned to Corpus Christi. Beverly was a loving and caring person. Her church, church activities and friends were her joy. She was an avid fan of both college and professional football. After a year of retirement she returned to work as a civilian employee in the identification section of the Nueces County Sheriff’s department; she was faithful to her duties and loyal to the trust reposed in her. Beverly is survived by her son and his dear wife, Shawn and Olivia Garcia Volk of Roswell, GA. She was proud to be “Grandma Beverly” to Olivias children Marianna Ellington, a premed student at the Georgia School of Medicine. Her husband Jacob a Senior Engineer major at Georgia Southern University. He will graduate in December of 2015. Her youngest child is Ricky Garcia a Senior Finance Major at the University of Georgia. She is also survived by her brother Dick Mitchell.
