Armando Alvarez Sr., age 56, was called home to heaven on Saturday, January 11, 2014, surrounded by his family.
He was born on July 31, 1957 to Onesimo and Esperanza Alvarez in Corpus Christi, Texas. He married his loving wife of 39 years on December 24, 1974. He was preceded in death by his father Onesimo Alvarez. He is survived by his wife, Lydia S. Alvarez; mother Esperanza Alvarez; three sisters; one son Armando Alvarez Jr. (Krystal); three daughters Monica Espinosa (Robert), Andrea Alvarez (Mac), Kimberly Flores (Steven); eight grandchildren.
A rosary will be held on Thursday, January 16, 2014, at 7:00 P.M. at Del Angels Funeral Home 549 Cheyenne St. Corpus Christi, Texas 78405.
Mass will be held on Friday, January 17, 2014 at 10:00 A.M. at Our Lady of Pillar Catholic Church 1101 Bloomington St, Corpus Christi, TX 78416.
The burial will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery, 8200 Old Brownsville Rd, Corpus Christi, TX 78415, following the mass.
