He is preceded in death by his parents ; 2 brothers Beto and Joe Leal; son-in-law Willie Salazar, Jr. ; grandson Gary Millwood, Jr.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years Hilaria Adame Leal; children: Jose Carlos (Yolanda) Leal, Norma Salazar, Lydia (James) Marquez, Anna (Gary) Millwood, Hilario (Kim Silva) Leal and Esmeralda (Rico) Gutierrez; sisters: Oliva (Raul) Valle of Union City, CA, Dora Leal Nugent and Belia Leal; 21 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
He was a master carpenter, wonderful, outgoing, fun-loving witty father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was a golden glove competitor and a fighter until the end. A special thank you to Legacy Hospice and The Palms Nursing Home.
Family will be receiving friends from 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Wednesday, June 19, 2013 with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm that same evening. A Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Thursday, June 20, 2013 at Our Lady of Pilar Catholic Church. Interment to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
