Amelia V. Castillo

Amelia was a loving wife and mother, very humble and quiet. She was always a caring and giving person. Amelia will be dearly missed and will remain in our hearts until we meet again.

Amelia is preceded in death by her husband, Ben Castillo; three sons, Ben Castillo III, Mario A. Castillo and Jerald V. Castillo; parents, Fernando Venezuela and Saloma Montalvo Venezuela; siblings, Beatriz V. Saenz, Guadalupe Venezuela, Connie G. Ramos, Celia Sanchez, David Garza, Evan Garza and son-in-law, Ernest Sanchez.

Amelia is survived by her children, Nelda Jean Sanchez, Maria B. Gonzales and Sylvia A. Olivarez (Abel); daughter-in-laws, Marty Castillo, Rena Castillo, and Isabell Castillo. She also leaves to cherish her memories, numerous grandchildren, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

Nelda, Maria, and Sylvia will dearly missed their beloved mother. She was a loving, sweet and caring mother and wife.

A visitation for Amelia will be held Monday, February 14, 2022 starting at 12:30 PM at Memory Gardens Funeral Home, 8200 Old Brownsville Road, Corpus Christi, Texas 78415 followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM. A burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
