Linda Yellin, age 80, a resident of Newport Coast, California, passed away July 18, 2021. Linda was born on March 26, 1941 in Flatbush, NY to Oscar and Adele Weinberg. Linda is predeceased by her husband Bob, her sister Joan and her daughter Patti.
Linda is survived by her loving children Eric & Julie and her grandchildren Richard, Sammy, Alex, Griffin & Nolan.
Linda first met Bob while they were attending Boston University in 1958 and it was love at first sight. The two looked like a Hollywood couple and were wed on April 25, 1959. Over the course of their marriage, Linda and Bob had three children and built a company together in the fire protection industry. While Linda worked alongside Bob, Linda still made her family a priority, ensuring her children were taken care of in school, sports, music lessons, as well as driving to and fro.
After investing more than 25 years in their flourishing business, Bob and Linda decided to enjoy the fruits of their labor. They moved into their dream home in Newport Coast with panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean. Linda spent many years making this dream home beautiful and warm. The collection of art and her exquisite interior design and detail made for a home that was always vibrant, warm and welcoming.
Linda was a proud member of several groups including The Orange County Visionaries and The Angels. After “retirement,” Linda immersed herself in philanthropy, her community, and many beautiful friendships. The Visionaries Association focuses on education in the visual arts, opportunities to visit galleries, artists studios, museums, educational trips, lunches and lectures for these groups of women. The Angels Group supports performing arts, provides opportunities for education, and meets with the Artists to ensure that Visual arts flourish in Orange County.
Linda had a vibrant energy about her and possessed the ability to light up every room she entered. She had an unmatched fashion sense and lived a life filled with style and grace.
To those whose lives Linda touched, let us all remember and cherish the beautiful contributions she made to our lives.
Linda’s sparkle will forever live on in our hearts and may she rest in peace.
