Carlos was an amazing person.   He always had a smile on his face.  Although I didn't know him outside of his job in Irvine, he made me feel like a life-long friend.  His smile and sense of humor will be missed.  He had a great way of connecting with people and making them smile.  May he rest in peace.  Your memory will live on.

I love you so much! Finding out that you would no longer be here on earth with us is very difficult. The many memories we shared with you will forever hold a very special place in our hearts. Your contagious laugh and humor, your advice, your smile and your love will always be remembered. I wish everyday that the last time I saw you, I would have hugged you a lot tighter and a lot longer! I know that you are up in heaven now dancing in the sky with all the angels and watching over us! Your love will always be felt down here on earth. You are loved by many and you will be truly missed! Since I found out that you were no longer physically with us, my heart broke once again. Little by little I assimilate that you are no longer here and your departure hurts me like you have no idea.
You were always an extraordinary human being and I know it was like that because my grandmother is too.
No matter how bad you were going through, you always had a smile on your face and wherever you went you spread your joy and left a mark in the hearts of people for your immense kindness.
I always told you how much I loved you and how important you were to me.❤️‍🩹
Your departure will always hurt me but I know that you will already be in a place where peace exists.

Carlos was immediate to welcoming me in to the engineering team at JC and helped train me as soon as we met. He had the biggest smile on his face and talking to him was always a joy. Always the first to lend a hand and gladly offered to teach, he was an amazing role model and a kind person. I’ll miss you Carlos, thank you for so much

it's been over 25 years I believe when Larry and I informed Mike 
Banich ( the boss at the time)  to hire Carlos and we never looked back. Carlos was very funny and nicknamed the majority of us and to this day these endearing names have stuck . He was known as Super Flaco, (everything was super to him) Carlos tagged Tony Furnari  Super tony ( name still being used) He named ( Larry Barlar Cebolla  cause his hair was white) He tagged Brett King Chivo because his arm hairs were curly and thick. Till this day even my grown kids call Brett (chivo). I can go on and on. Carlos had a smile on his face always and we will miss him dearly. He will never be forgotten.

I have worked with Carlos for almost 3 years and I can tell you he was the most joyful, helpful and giving person. Anytime I asked for assistance, he would drop everything and do that thing. Often times I would have to preempt my request with “I know you’re busy, please do not rush, only do this when you have a moment.” Because I knew that he was going to drop everything and work on that request. That’s how he was, Always eager to help and tell a joke or two along the way. I never heard him complain. Never ever heard him express anything negative, no matter what he was going through.  Every afternoon, I would watch him as he would stop by the lobby and drop off an ice cold water for the lobby ambassador. Often times no one was there to witness this kind gesture. But that’s how Carlos was. He didn’t look for praise, he was just happy to be a blessing. He was a beautiful soul full of joy and his absence is noticed. We miss him and his contagious laugh. Condolences to his family. We grieve with you in this loss. He was a great man. 

Sending my condolences for our dear Carlos. He worked in my office building and always had a smile on his face, was always cheerful, and most importantly, he was always so kind. Carlos was always available for us and was so friendly. Whenever I would see him , he would tell me a joke or wish me a “happy Taco Tuesday!”  Carlos is so missed and it is not the same without him on campus. Carlos was so proud of his two children and you could tell what a genuine and caring father he was. He talked about his two children often and how proud he was and shared in their successes. Sending love and prayers to the Lopez family and my dearest condolences. 

Gracias Carlos, por tu gran amor de hermano, Gracias por tu apoyo incondicional, te Amo y te recordaré siempre, en cada atardecer en la playa o en algún paisaje en las montañas, en el freeway, con tu frase célebre no te apures pa’que dures, Gracias a Dios por la Dicha de tenerte y ser mi hermano del Alma,, Dios nos dé el consuelo de no tenerte y ahora es tu tiempo de volver a la casa de nuestro  Señor Y Dios nuestro. Amén 🙏
