Udo was approaching his 75th year and was a devoted and loving father to Kyle (Terri-Anne) and Kristyn, as well as a cherished and humorous Opa to his beloved granddaughters, Zoey and Kylie.
Born in Friedrichshafen, Germany on January 1, 1950, Udo immigrated to Canada at the age of 9 with his mother, Magdalena, and his two brothers, Rolf (Lynn) and Norbert (Alice).
His children and grandchildren were his proudest accomplishments and he enjoyed reminiscing on fond memories of the good ol' band days as music was his favourite hobby. Udo enjoyed a successful career as an engineer in Ottawa, where he even contributed to the development of the subdivision where he would later draft plans and build the family home. Udo's treasured memories are imprinted in the family home, where he cherished all the moments with his family.

A celebration of Udo's life will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2024, at the Kanata Legion (70 Hines Road, Kanata) from 1:30 to 4:30 PM. Arrangements under the care and direction Lahaie & Sullivan Cornwall Funeral Home, 20 Seventh Street West, Cornwall, ON (613-932-8482).
