Bobby was the born on May 10th, 1956, the second of three children of Paul and Dorothy (née Burns) Girouard.
Bobby’s biggest passions were friends and family. Known by all who met him as having a contagious smile and a ready compliment, Bobby remembered each person by name, making everyone he met feel seen and heard. His easy nature and love of storytelling made him a natural at family gatherings and get-togethers.
He was also an avid contributor to and active participant in his community. Bobby often volunteered his time and efforts. In recent years, living at Heartwood Long-Term Care Home, he received various awards and recognitions including Resident of the Year.
Bobby was blessed by the loving care given to him by his parents, family and friends. He was especially fortunate to have found the caring and dedicated staff at Community Living Stormont County and at Heartwood Long-Term Care Home. Both made sure Bobby always felt he belonged.
Often ending a conversation with a genuine “I love you”, Bobby will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
Bobby was predeceased by his father Paul, his mother Dorothy and his sister Betty. Bobby is survived by his brother Stephen (Julianne), his nephews Evan, Grant, Connor, Jason, Brendan, Aaron and Jarrid, his nieces Shannon and Hillary and his brother-in-law Mark Huza along with many great-nieces and nephews.
Family will be in attendance at LAHAIE AND SULLIVAN WEST BRANCH, 20 SEVENTH STREET W, CORNWALL on Saturday, November 2, 2024 between the hours of 11:00AM to 1:00PM prior to a Memorial Service that will be held in the Memorial Chapel of the funeral home at 1:00PM.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Community Living Stormont County would be appreciated by the family.
