It is with profound sadness that the family announces the passing of Edith Marie McCosh (nee Logan) peacefully on Friday, June 28, 2024 at Heartwood Long Term Care Home in Cornwall, ON at the age of 92. Edith was known as a “social butterfly” at Heartwood. She was regularly helping other residents and was the one getting everybody up to dance or sing and play cards.
Beloved wife of the late Reverend William E. McCosh. Sweetest mom ever to Dave McCosh and Grant McCosh (Barbara). Loving grandmother of Bradley, Monica, Alexandria, and John.
Edith is predeceased by her parents Dan and Viola (née Murray) Logan and three brothers Tom, Norman and Murray.
Edith graduated as an RN in Halifax in the year 1954; she will be fondly remembered by many friends and family as a deeply kind hearted and caring woman. Edith did decades of volunteer work with United Churches in the Sarnia and London communities. As a Registered Nurse, she worked full time for years, caring for her patients in both cities. She enjoyed working at Parkwood Hospital until her retirement in 1994; having many beautiful friendships with nurses for all these years. She had been retired for a wonderful thirty years.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the amazing nursing staff at Heartwood for the wonderful care they provided Edith over the past 7 years.
In keeping with Edith’s wishes cremation has taken place. Family will be in attendance at M. John Sullivan Funeral Home, 341 Pitt Street (across from city hall) Cornwall on Wednesday July 10th between the hours of 12:30PM to 3:00PM prior to a Funeral Service that will be held in the Memorial Chapel of the Funeral Home.
As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to Heartwood Long Term Care Home would be appreciated by the family.
