Peacefully, at home in Ottawa, Ontario on April 9, 2014, following a life of dedication as a wife, mother, grandmother, as well as a skiing, tennis and French literature enthusiast. Beloved wife of the late Charles F. Lalonde M.D. Dear mother of Claire-Anne of Ottawa, John (the late Debbie) of Gananoque, Louise (Owen) of Victoria, BC, Charles (Mona) of Colorado Springs, CO, and Joseph (Tracey) of Long Sault. Predeceased by one daughter, Suzanne. Loving grandmother of Jennifer (Aaron), Christopher (Sarah), Andrea, Caroline, Sophie, Michelle, Emily and Emerson. Dear daughter of the late Joseph Théodore Coupal D.D.S., and Bérangère Layeux. Dear sister of Jean-Paul and Bernadette. Predeceased by sisters Gabrielle, Lucille and Marie. Resting at the Lahaie & Sullivan Cornwall Funeral Homes, West Branch, 20 Seventh Street West, Cornwall (613-932-8482). The family will be in attendance on Sunday, April 13 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday, April 14 from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Funeral Monday, April 14 for Mass of Christian Burial at St. Columban’s Church, 36 Fourth Street West, Cornwall at 11 a.m. Internment at Notre Dame Cemetery, Cornwall.
