Neal was a graduate of Alcorn Central High School. He received degrees in forestry and C.A.D. from Northeast Community College. He worked many professions throughout his lifetime; he was a tour bus driver for Senator Coach Tours, worked for Weyerhaeuser in Oxford, MS, retired from Corinth Gas & Water as a purchasing agent, and was a talented bass guitar player for the "Smokehouse Band."
Neal was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by a single brother, Mike Byrd (Judy); two nephews, Christopher Byrd (Sarah Beth) and Justin Byrd (Rebekah); a special friend, Donna Trimm; Donna's children, Ladonna Langston, Angel Smith (Rocky), Michael Trimm; Donna's grandchildren, Ashley Langston, Tanner Trimm (Shianne), Alexis Vales, Jayden Vales, Aliyah Trimm, Anna Trimm, Jaxson Trimm and Benley Trimm; Donna's great grandchildren, Kellan Trimm, Kade Trimm, Kohen Trimm and Levi Langston; as well as a host of extended family and friends.
There is a Celebration of Life Memorial Service scheduled for Friday, September 27, 2024 beginning at two o'clock in the afternoon with Bro. Lane Voyles officiating. The family will receive friends beginning at one o'clock in the afternoon until service time.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in the memory of Wallace Neal Byrd to the Amen Food Pantry in Corinth.
