Sandra Thompson Shelby

A Celebration of Life Service for Sandra Thompson Shelby is set for 11:00 am Friday at McPeters Funeral Directors. Burial will follow at Magnolia Gardens. The family will receive friends from 9 am until service time at the funeral home.

Sandra, 79, passed away on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 at Pine Meadows Nursing Home in Bolivar, TN. She was born on August 8,1944 to the late Chalmer and Monevia Luker. She was a fun and outgoing woman who enjoyed cooking, listening to music and spending time with her family. Sandra was a bowler for Kimberly Clark. She enjoyed dancing and spending time with friends at the VFW. She loved the Lord and Savior and everyone was always welcome at her home where food was always available if they were hungry.

Sandra is survived by her sons, Johnny Dale Thompson and Nicky Dewayne Evans; daughter, Karen Hankins; brother, Mike Luker; 7 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren.

Pallbearers include Derrick Glidewell, Leo Grantham, Kenneth Luker, Kevin Luker, John D. Turner, and Glen Turner.
